About Homewatch CareGivers of Silver Spring

We are Gauri and Rohit Chande, Owners of Homewatch CareGivers of Silver Spring serving Eastern Montgomery County from Kensington, Silver Spring to Burtonsville. We are proud parents to two daughters and two fur babies. With a strong passion to make a difference in people’s lives through integrity and service, we feel blessed to be able to provide compassionate care and fortifying support to families in our community.

In the past, I have worked as a pharmacist and a pharmaceutical researcher. This experience was rewarding and fulfilling as I got to work directly with patients in a counseling and educational capacity. I have known since then that I wanted to make an impact on people’s health through my services. I have also come to realize that there are multiple aspects of optimal health and well-being. I deeply respect the importance of addressing social and environmental factors affecting well-being such as adequate care and support, social engagement, hobbies, and interests. My husband, Rohit, has worked in executive management roles for more than 20 years and has a deep understanding of business. His passion has always been for us to build a business together that serves our community.

We have spent most of our adult lives living thousands of miles away from our families and loved ones and understand the challenges of navigating the journey of aging loved ones without physically being there with them. In the past few years, we became primary caregivers for immediate family members with challenging care needs and realized how crucial it is for our seniors to age in their homes safely while maintaining their dignity and independence. And we also realized that in today’s high demand environment, families cannot do it alone. We also developed a deep respect for all caregivers through this process. We strive to provide in-home care that would match and exceed what we would expect for our own families and loved ones.
