We would like to take this opportunity to share with you a story of an “Act of Kindness” from one of our caregivers, that is reflective of the commitment of all our staff.
The wife of one of our clients called us this morning and asked if we would help her. She is not allowed to visit her husband who resides in a senior living community. She was feeling disconnected and isolated from him. Our client’s caregiver took the initiative to call the client’s wife on her cell phone, and then put the phone up to our client’s ear so he could hear her voice.
Some may discount this as an insignificant act. but for the client’s wife, it meant everything!
Caregiving is one of the most challenging professions. Those who work as caregivers deserve our utmost respect, and recognition for their selflessness. Unfortunately, often times it takes a personal crisis, or societal crisis like we are going through now for us to appreciate their efforts.
