On June 4th, we will celebrate having completed 16 years of service. We honor our clients and staff of Care Partners every day; they too are part of our extended family.
But this year’s anniversary will be special. The business was founded by Ralph Fern, his brother Dan Fern, and Dan’s wife Karen Fern. Homewatch CareGivers provided care for Ralph’s and Dan’s parents. It offered them a unique opportunity that most business owners do not get to experience; the perspective of being a client to their own business. It enabled them to develop a deep appreciation for the angst and concern that family members feel when a loved one is cared for, and the need to communicate with them to keep everyone informed and connected.
This Wednesday will be June 3rd, 2020. It is our father’s birthday. Had he still been alive, we would be celebrating his 100th birthday with him. He was born on June 3rd, 1920, in Koblenz Germany. He passed away on August 26th, 2010, in Scottsdale, Arizona, at the age of 90.
