The following captures the essence of Homewatch CareGivers of Phoenix and our philosophy of care.
The recent months have been extremely challenging and eye-opening for everyone in our country, and the world. First, we have struggled with a pandemic from the COVID-19 virus. Now, more recently, we have witnessed social unrest from the injustice resulting in the tragic death of George Floyd, in Minneapolis.
As ones who provide care to those in need of assistance in their homes, these events make the foundation of caregiving more apparent. A foundation built upon respect, dignity, compassion, and empathy.
Respect to treat everyone as individuals, and as you would want to be treated. Respect to be kind and loving to those in need. Respect to not discriminate because of any differences we may have as individuals. At our core, we are all human.
Dignity to look past our presentation, how we may look, abilities, or disabilities, to treat everyone we encounter the same. Dignity to respect the sanctity of life itself.
Compassion to be sympathetic to others less fortunate than ourselves, and for those who need our assistance.
Empathy to be understanding of another’s situation or predicament. Empathy to appreciate another’s perspective and try to understand how someone else may view things. Empathy to understand another’s plight.
Respect. Dignity. Compassion. Empathy. That is the essence of being a great Care Partner. That is the core of who we are as individuals, and as Homewatch CareGivers of Phoenix.
Homewatch CareGivers values and respects the diversity of our Care Partners. The different cultures, ethnicities, religions, orientations that each individual brings to the group helps to form a beautiful ensemble and mosaic. We should each take great pride in our own individuality, as we take great pride in our company.
We hope you’ve been able to find some peace, comfort and time for reflection from recent events. It sometimes seems hard to understand and comprehend what is going on, and how it all may impact us. We believe the future is bright.
