Homewatch Connect Features

Homewatch Connect is a multi-functional home care monitoring device that collects data via environmental sensors that are placed in designated areas within the home. The sensors provide information that may indicate concerns to be addressed. It doesn’t record the person, but it does detect heat and humidity depending on where sensors are placed in the home. Homewatch Connect’s motion sensors can alert the care team to possible issues, such as a client getting out of bed several times throughout the night. Microphones monitor for potentially troubling sounds such as breaking glass, frequently flushing toilets, or water running for too long.

Additionally, Homewatch Connect can be programmed to provide medication reminders to minimize the risk of missed dosages. It can also remind clients about virtual care visits and in-person doctor appointments.

Homewatch Connect screens calls and only allows incoming communication from known and approved contacts. This feature minimizes feelings of loneliness and isolation by providing a way to keep in touch with family and friends. It offers peace of mind that incoming calls are not scammers who often prey on elders.

Who Qualifies for Virtual Visits?

An in-person evaluation will determine the level of care the person will most benefit from. During that evaluation, a home care professional will conduct a thorough assessment of the client’s fall risk, screen for concerns of cognitive decline, and ability to independently complete activities of daily living.
