Story of Homewatch CareGivers of Georgetown
My name is Bo Donohoo, and I’m the owner of Homewatch CareGivers of Georgetown. We serve Georgetown, Round Rock, Pflugerville, Cedar Park, and the surrounding counties. We know you have options when choosing care for your loved one. We will earn your business and loyalty by providing the best, most professional, and most empathetic care.
I opened this business because I want to make a positive impact on my community, provide care for the elderly and those in need, and provide jobs for caregivers. I have a servant’s heart and have helped others ever since I was teenager.
I have a BS, an MBA, and am a certified Project Management Professional. I’ve served our country in the Army for 30 years, am a service-disabled Veteran, and have four children. The thing that really matters though, is that you can trust me and my team. We will always do the right thing, and treat you with dignity and respect.
My dedication to help others was formed by the following experiences. First, when I was a teenager I volunteered at the Clermont Mercy Hospital Emergency Department every Monday night and on Sunday’s would go with our youth group to visit and minister to the elderly at the Batavia Nursing and Convalescent Inn. The time I spent visiting with and caring for the elderly, and mentally disabled during these formative years left a life-long impression on me.
While at Xavier University on an ROTC scholarship I worked at the same Assisted Living Facility that I volunteered at during high school. I cared for many very dear elderly folks, and determined that someday I would do something to make the lives of our seniors more comfortable.
When I left active duty in the Army I worked for Merck & Co., Inc. as a pharmaceutical representative, vaccine representative, and senior diabetes specialty representative, and taught Sunday school and Junior Church at our church. During this time, I volunteered to work with mentally disabled children in Cartersville, GA. The loving spirit these children had will be with me forever.
After the attacks on September 11, 2001 I felt that I still had value to offer my country, and I wanted to help, so I joined the Army Reserve. I was deployed to Iraq three times since 2001 and was injured in battle. I have served in many countries and on many missions. The plight of people injured or disabled, in need of help, or elderly, impressed on me the want and need, to help others; and try my best to make our community better.
I grew up in church, and have a deep-rooted ethos. We believe in the golden rule, and will treat your family the way we would want to be treated. Let our family care for your family. We look forward to serving you. Please click here to meet our care team that will partner with you.
Very Respectfully,
Bo Donohoo
