Story of Homewatch CareGivers of Chantilly

Hello, I am Rebecca Bodor, the proud owner of Homewatch CareGivers of Chantilly. Together with my husband Tim, who also shares deep roots in the DC suburbs, we have cherished raising our family and embracing the community spirit of Northern Virginia. Our journey into home care is deeply personal and reflects a commitment not just to our business but to every family we serve.

We opened our first Homewatch CareGivers office in Sterling in 2015. Our path to founding Homewatch CareGivers was shaped by personal experiences that revealed the critical need for compassionate and reliable home care. In the 1990s, Tim’s family faced the daunting challenge of caring for a loved one with dementia, during a time when quality in-home care options were scarce. Years later, the struggle continued as Tim's mother battled cancer alone, without adequate support, profoundly impacting our understanding of what true care should encompass.

My parents lived in Maryland for half a century but moved to Herndon in 2018 after they were no longer able to remain in our family home. Our company provided care for my mother and father for the remainder of their lives, giving me the unique opportunity to see things through the eyes of both client and care provider.

These experiences were pivotal. They drove me to transition from client to owner, fueling my passion to offer a service that truly understands and responds to the needs of those facing similar challenges. After witnessing my father’s stroke and navigating the complex landscape of elder care, I vowed to make a difference in how care is delivered.

As our business has grown, we decided to open our second location in Chantilly Virginia in 2024. Even though the office is new, we provide the same excellent care because we utilize the same people and processes that made our Sterling office a success.

Each of our caregivers undergoes stringent national background and DMV checks and receives a minimum of 12 hours of annual training. This ongoing education, provided through Homewatch CareGivers University, keeps them current and proficient, ensuring they meet our high standards for quality care. Regular performance reviews further support their ability to offer targeted care and meaningful companionship.
