Who Do You Know That Would Make a Great Caregiver?

At Homewatch CareGivers of Brownsburg we strive to have the best Caregivers in place to meet the needs of our growing client base. We love being a part of and being able to give back to the Brownsburg community and surrounding areas. One of the ways we recruit Caregivers is by being in partnership with career centered schools who are helping our youth gain knowledge in the healthcare field. We often go out into the community to meet these individuals where they are at. Rick Clark, Owner of Homewatch CareGivers of Brownsburg was recently able to do just that. On Friday, September 3 he attended Area 31 Partnership Day at Ben Davis High School. Area 31 Career Center is, as their website will tell you, “way more than high school. Area 31 is high school with direction, hands-on learning and real-world work experience.” Some of the High Schools that attended this career focused Partnership Day included these eleven school districts supported by Area 31 Career Center: Avon, Brownsburg, Danville, MSD Decatur Township, MSD Wayne Township, Mill Creek, Monroe-Gregg, Mooresville, North West Hendricks, Plainfield, and Speedway. Homeschooled and private school students attended as well.

Rick met several of the students from these area schools and talked with them about their interest in the healthcare field and caregiving.

In addition to reaching out at events such as the event at Area 31, we also rely on word of mouth from the community, like all of you. Who do you know that would make a great Caregiver? Maybe you have a friend who has recently graduated or has a GED and is wanting to increase their experience. Maybe it’s someone who has retired from the healthcare field and they are still wanting to be involved in someone's care, giving back in some way.

Taking care of people has never been as important as it is today.
