On Veteran’s Day this year we visited all of the veterans we care for through the VA and dropped off some treats to let them know how much we appreciate their service! Our country would not have the many, many freedoms we enjoy if it wasn’t for the service of these veterans and so many more.
At Homewatch CareGivers of Southwest Idaho (Boise or Twin Falls) we have cared for veterans since we started over 13 years ago! We have had a contract with the VA to care for veterans for over 11 years. The VA pays for some of the care our veterans need, including help with bathing, dressing, grooming, light housekeeping, meal preparation and transportation. Sometimes the VA also pays for Respite Care, which is giving a family caregiver or friend a break in caring for the veteran, by having us care for them. To qualify for these services, the veteran would need to be accepted into the VA medical system and see a VA doctor once a year. There are many other VA benefits, including Aid and Attendance - which I will cover another time. For more information on VA Care, please visit this page. We can provide veteran home care services in the following cities, to name a few: Boise, Nampa, Meridian, Caldwell, Eagle, Star, Kuna, Middleton, Homedale, Marsing, Parma, Twin Falls, Jerome, Filer, Buhl, Kimberly, Gooding.
